Madiha Aqib, the Pakistan correspondent for the Indian jewellery brand BBling Accessories, speaks to us about her journey with the brand and her favourite pieces this season

How/when did you get interested in jewellery?

I have always been interested in jewellery. I think jewellery is something, which truly completes your look. Though, I became interested in doing something about it when Prerto and Rema became a sensation in Pakistan. I too wanted to represent a brand and do something with fun statement pieces, which is what I love. So I started my research, I went through Instagram and various magazines, and found an Indian company, BBling Accessories. I got in touch with them, and that’s how it all started.

What are your favourite pieces of jewellery (precious or costume)?

My current favourites are the trendy pieces that are really in this season, such as chokers and cuffs. I love wearing chokers and cuffs with Swarovski crystals and pearl accents, I think they suit my style and personality best.

Where did you get them?

These pieces are made by BBling Accessories. I call for them from Dubai, as India to Pakistan is always a hassle.

Share a story with us about how you acquired one of your favourite pieces?

Rema is one of my favourite brands! In fact it is one of the brands that inspired me to pursue my collaboration with BBling in India. I remember ordering my very first Rema pieces, which were a handcuff and a palm band. I ordered them online and was so happy when I received them.

Is there anything on your radar that you want to get in the future?

I’m looking forward to the wedding jewellery that will be everywhere soon due to the upcoming wedding season. One of my favourite jewellery pieces right now is the choker necklace, so I am excited to see it done with a traditional twist.
