Three workers die at cement factory

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Three workers at a cement factory in Dera Ghazi Khan died on Sunday after boiling hot clinker – raw material for cement – fell on them while they were working. Mujtaba, a resident of Chakwal, and Sabz Ali and Fida Hussain, residents of Kot Mubarik, were daily-wage workers at the cement factory. During work, boiling clinker fell on them and they died. Their deaths were reported as an accident to Kot Mubarik police station. Kot Mubarik SHO Hayyat Dareshak said their families had signed an affidavit that it was an accident. He said the factory had not announced financial support for the families of the deceased.
