Fire breaks out in Karachi paint-manufacturing factory
Rescue workers and fire fighters arrived at the site and started efforts to extinguish the fire. At least five fire tenders were called to put out the fire which could not be brought under control until the filing of this report.
AN EXPRESS NEWS SCREENGRABIn March, several workers fell unconscious while goods worth millions of rupees were gutted when a fire broke out in the basement of a private paint-manufacturing factory in Karachi’s SITE area.
At least four workers who fainted due to heavy plumes of smoke were rushed to a nearby medical facility. However, there were no immediate reports of casualties.
