Capacity building New training simulators acquired

To create a sense of safety is collective responsibility of the society

Emergency Services Academy (ESA) Director General Brigadier (r) Amir Hamza said on Monday the academy had acquired some training simulators, including urban search and rescue rubble pad, a lake for flood management training, a 10-storey fire tower, a ‘burn house’ and a swimming pool. Hamza was giving a presentation at a conference, titled Building Safer Communities through Corporate Social Responsibility, at the Punjab Emergency Services Academy, at Thokar Niaz Beg. Majid Ali Chaudhry, a Kuwaiti businessman, Parks and Horticulture Authority Director General Mian Shakeel Ahmad and Lahore Press Club secretary Mian Shadab Riaz were also present on the occasion. Hamza sought their cooperation for building healthy, safe and resilient communities across the country. “To create a sense of safety is collective responsibility of the society,” he said. He and the guests later planted trees.
