The daily routine of locals was disrupted due to inundation

CHITRAL/SHANGLA: Heavy rain lashed Chitral and Shangla on Wednesday, and the meteorological department has predicted rain to continue till Thursday.

In Chitral, rain was followed by hailstorm on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

The daily routine of locals was disrupted due to inundation.

People of Chitral said Daloomgol and Sirogol villages located in Upper Chitral were evacuated as they were filled with floodwater.

Hundreds of families were shifted to safer places to for shelter.

Locals also said cars and vehicles were swept away by the gushing water. However, Booni Road was closed to prevent any risk and inconvenience.
