Brave man: Bank guard foils robbery attempt

KASUR:

A security guard of National Bank of Pakistan, Chunian, foiled a robbery attempt and overpowered a robber on Thursday.     Police said the man visited the bank branch on a pretext of getting pension. He picked up a bundle of currency notes amounting to Rs400,000 from the cash counter and tried to flee. However, a security guard at the bank overpowered him. However, two of the robber’s accomplices, who were waiting for him at the bank’s gate, fled.  The robber was identified as Abdul Majid, a resident of Rawalpindi.
