PESHAWAR: The counter-terrorism department (CTD) arrested four members of a banned militant outfit who were preaching against the polio vaccination campaign. They were also encouraging locals to join the organisation. The four were arrested at Mulazai Chowk on the outskirts of the city and dozens of pamphlets were confiscated from their possession. “They were identified as Muhammad Umrais Muhammad, a resident of Shahi Blala, Maghforullah from Nowshera, Mir Haider from Palosi, and Mohibullah, an Afghan refugee living in the Surizai village,” said a CTD official. He added they preached against the state and polio vaccination.  “A total of 56 pamphlets were confiscated from these men,” the policeman said. He concluded all suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
