ABBOTABAD:
The court of judicial magistrate in Mansehra sent three men on judicial remand to District Jail Mansehra on Tuesday for allegedly raping a teenage girl. According to a report filed by the 16-year-old girl with Mirpur police station, the incident occurred over a week ago when she was visiting her maternal uncle’s house during her winter vacation.
Qaisar, Ayaz and Sadiq knocked on the door of the house one afternoon when her uncle and aunt were not at home. They forcibly dragged her into a van and drove her to a hotel in Rawalpindi.
The 16-year-old said the three men raped her. They eventually dropped her near Abbottabad and she walked back to her uncle’s house.
Medical reports confirmed the teenager had been raped.
The police had registered criminal cases against Qaisar, Ayaz and Sadiq. They were arrested on Sunday and produced in court on Tuesday.
This is the second such
case to be reported at Mirpur police station. On January 18, an 11-year-old girl was raped by five men.
