Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen leader sent to jail

Allama Sheikh Nayyar Abbas was accused of treason and had been at large for the past 10 months

GILGIT: An anti-terrorism court judge in Gilgit sent a regional Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen leader to prison on Tuesday.

MWM Gilgit-Baltistan General Secretary Allama Sheikh Nayyar Abbas was sent to prison on judicial remand. He had appeared before the anti-terrorism court on his own. He was accused of treason and had been at large for the past 10 months. He was also declared a proclaimed offender by the court.
