Unhygienic food: Five factories sealed

The team also collected food samples and sent them to a laboratory for analysis

City Assistant Commissioner Bilal Abro sealed five factories on Thursday for making unhygienic and substandard edible items. The assistant commissioner and Chief Food Inspector Abdul Qayyum Awan, Dr Qamaruz Zaman and Dr Pervaiz checked various food factories and found five food factories involved in preparing spurious edible items. Talib Makhana Factory, Irfan Nimko Factory, Ikram Nimko Factory, Shahid Bashir Daal Factory, Malik Naeem Mirch Factory and Rizi Niswar Factory in Raheem Town have been sealed. The team also collected food samples and sent them to a laboratory for analysis. Further action would be taken against them on receipt of the laboratory report.
