A flying start: APS students attend PSL inauguration

The first game of the inaugural T20 league of Pakistan will be played between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators

Nearly 150 students and staff members of Army Public School, Peshawar, left for Dubai on Thursday to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) cricket tournament.


On January 26, Pakistan T-20 skipper Shahid Afridi visited APS and announced Peshawar Zalmi team will fly students to Dubai to watch the PSL inauguration. A total 146 APS students and staff members left for Dubai via a Shaheen Airlines flight from BKIA. APS was targeted by terrorists on December 16, 2014 and around 122 students lost their lives. The first game of the inaugural T20 league of Pakistan will be played between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators at Dubai Cricket Stadium.
