We met up with socialite Shireen Warraich in her grand house and spoke to her about her favourite space along with some special memories attached to it!

In a secluded, peaceful area of Phase 5 Defence Lahore, we entered socialite Shireen Warraich’s grand house. There was a swimming pool right in front of the main door, which took us pleasantly by surprise. Our hostess gave us a warm welcome and she took us to her favourite space, which was her living room.

At first glance her love for dramatic palettes such as deep brown, maroon and gold was evident. The room gave a vintage and royal vibe, while at the same time imparting a warm feel. Most of the furniture was luxurious, bought from either Sam Abbas in Karachi or from various exhibitions held in Dubai. Her favourite furniture pieces, however, were the two rich sea green and maroon gold brass armchairs and a matching cabinet that she bought from Signature Home in Lahore.

Shireen told us this was the space where the entire family spent most of their time and that’s why it was her favourite. The living room, along with the rest of the house, was her husband’s brainchild, done without the help of any architect or engineer. Shireen has some special memories attached to her living room, such as her sister’s dholki. A more recent one was a Moroccan night that she hosted, where all her friends and family got together!
