Increased safety: ‘Steps are being taken to improve security across K-P’

Senior members of ANP, PPP and PML-N were present on the occasion

Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs Mehmood Khan said on Saturday the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government was taking measures to improve the security of educational institutions as well as improve the law and order situation across the province.


He expressed these views while addressing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party members in Matta, Swat on Saturday. The event was held in honour of those who had recently joined the party.

Senior members of ANP, PPP and PML-N were present on the occasion. He congratulated the new party members and vowed to cooperate with them in future.

Mehmood shed light on development projects under way in Matta and said an amount of Rs8 billion has been allocated for the projects and schemes being built in the area.

The uplift projects include developing education, irrigation and agriculture sectors along with the construction of roads, bridges and fences.
