Obituary: Nadra Begum laid to rest

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Nadra Begum, a wife of former Punjab governor Zulfiqar Khosa, passed away in Islamabad on Friday. She was laid to rest in Dera Ghazi Khan. Her funeral prayers were held at the Company Bagh Eid Gah, Dera Ghazi Khan. Several lawmakers and public representatives attended the funeral prayers. Nadra Begum hailed from Quetta. Her father had moved to Quetta from Iraq and belonged to the family of Sufi saint Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani. She had married Zulfiqar Khosa in 1957. “She will be dearly missed by those who knew her,” her son Dost Muhammad Khosa, former Punjab chief minister, said.
