30-Under-30: Tribune columnist on Forbes list

The selection is announced every year in January

KARACHI: The Express Tribune columnist Hussain Nadim has been selected by the Forbes magazine for its prestigious list of 30 Under 30 Global Leaders in Law and Policy for 2016. Forbes 30 Under 30 is an annual selection of global leaders under the age of 30 who have shown commitment and exemplary leadership qualities in their area of work. The selection is announced every year in January. “Being recognised by Forbes is a humbling experience,” Nadim told The Express Tribune. “It is a reassurance of the path I have chosen for myself to deliver more innovative solutions for the problems of intolerance, racism, hate and extremism.”The 28-year-old has been honoured for the work he has done as the founding director of the Peace and Development Unit of Pakistan’s Federal Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms. He has consulted the military and security agencies of Pakistan on de-radicalisation and counterterrorism issues.
