Encounter: Police killed ‘wanted terrorist’

DI KHAN: Police shot dead a wanted terrorist in Kulachi tehsil of DI Khan on Friday, an official told The Express Tribune. The policeman said a search operation took place based on intelligence reports and Shahid alias Danyal was killed in an encounter in Kot Sultan. A Kalashnikov, two hand grenades, 50 bullets and a motorbike were seized from the deceased. He was allegedly involved in the killing of DSP Headquarters Bahwal Khan on April 3, 2015. Earlier, he was jailed in Central Prison DI Khan but managed to escape during a TTP-orchestrated jailbreak in 2013.
