Oil Refinery: UAE firm lauds efforts for land agreement

The new refinery will generate petroleum products for the province

PESHAWAR: The chairman of a firm based in UAE has lauded the K-P chief minister’s efforts to ensure a land agreement is signed to construct an oil refinery in the province. This was stated in a handout issued on Saturday. According to the document, Al Motahedon Petroleum Refineries (AMPR) Sheikh Mohammed Ahmed Al Kaitoob Al Nuaimi had asked the authorities to prepare documents for a land agreement for the $500 million project. As per the document, the sheikh met a delegation led by Khattak in Islamabad earlier this month. “The chief minister was presented an MoU that was signed with Board of Investment on December 10, 2015,” read the document. The new refinery will generate petroleum products for the province.
