Moving forward: PC-2 for Multan Zoo approved
Wildlife Department Assistant Director said the zoo would be developed near Balail village on Multan-Shujabad road

Wildlife Department Assistant Director Mian Abbas said on Friday that the provincial government had approved the feasibility study for a zoo in the city and had hired a consultant for the project. Abbas said Rs7.7 million had been allocated for the project. He said a Lahore-based firm with experience in zoo development had prepared the proposal for the Multan zoo. He said the company had also offered to prepare a design, a master plan and a strategy for execution. Abbas said the zoo would be developed near Balail village on Multan-Shujabad road, nearly eight kilometres from Naag Shah Chowk. He said the department would provide assistance with transportation of animals and installation of cages.
