PESHAWAR/GHALLANAI: Pakistan Peoples Party provincial cabinet met at Senator Khanzada Khan’s house on Friday and paid tribute to the late Makhdoom Amin Fahim.

The participants set November 30 as the date to celebrate party’s annual Foundation Day. It was decided the venue to celebrate the event will be in the provincial capital.

The meeting hosted members of PPP’s provincial cabinet such as Senator Khanzada Khan, General Secretary Humayun Khan, Advocate Akbar Khan, MPA Nighat Orakzai, Advocate Jamal Khattak, Farzand Ali Wazir, Tala Muhammad, Sami Khan and Rashid Afridi. The central leaders of the party will also make visits to Mardan, Peshawar and Nowshera next month.

On complaint of the divisional president, PPP Bannu was dissolved and a committee was made, comprising members from the provincial cabinet including Farzand Wazir and Jamal Khattak among others. It was decided they would visit Bannu and meet people there to form the chapter again, giving it a fresh start.

By December 13, all wings of the party must present their report on work the groups have done in their regions, participants in the meeting decided.

All women reference

A condolence reference was held for Fahim in Ekka Ghund, Mohmand Agency on Friday.

This is the first-ever reference which was organised by women activists and politicians. Speaking on the occasion, PPP workers said Fahim had remained loyal to the party and the Bhutto family.

They added the late PPP president had always supported democratic forces at all costs.
