An Anti-Corruption court on Thursday remanded Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Development Director Malik Munir in Anti-Corruption Establishment custody for six days. The director is accused of illegally appointing 16 administration officers at the varsity. The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) produced the suspect in the court on Thursday to obtain custody. Officials said that the Anti-Corruption Establishment had arrested Munir on Wednesday after he had attempted to flee from the court after his bail was rejected. Prior to his posting as development director, Munir had been the Bahauddin Zakariya University registrar. Munir is also one of the suspects in the Bahauddin Zakariya University Lahore Campus case that is currently being investigated by the National Accountability Bureau.
