Fighting hepatitis: SSU launches awareness programme

KARACHI: A hepatitis awareness programme was launched at the headquarters of Special Security Unit (SSU) in Hassan Square under the directives of Sindh security AIGP Lt (retd) Maqsood Ahmed, said a statement issued on Wednesday. The screening and vaccination campaign will continue until the tests of all the SSU commandos and staff, including civilian staff, is completed. Arrangements have been and the staff will be vaccinated for the protection from the disease while arrangements for treatment have also been made for anyone found infected from hepatitis.
