Fake car number: PTI lawmaker’s driver booked

The police have registered a case against Muhammad Ilyas under Section 420 and have seized both the vehicles

ISLAMABAD: The capital police on Monday confiscated two vehicles having the same registration number belonging to  National Assembly Member Nafeesa Inayatullah Khattak of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), said a police official. The police said that on information police seized two vehicles bearing registration No RV-303, Toyota Prius and Toyota Avanza parked in St 64, F-6/3, Margalla Road. The police have registered a case against Muhammad Ilyas, driver of the lawmaker who was sitting on the driver’s seat of Toyota Prius, when the police intercepted him. The police said that Toyota Prius’s registration number was found to be fake. However, the registration number of Toyota Avanza RV-303 driven by Muhammad Irfan was found legal. The police have registered a case against Muhammad Ilyas under Section 420 and have seized both the vehicles. Repeated attempts were made to contact Nafeesa Khattak, however, she was not available for comment.
