Casualties: 5 killed in different incidents

An FIR has yet to be registered

KOHAT/ LAKKI MARWAT/ KOHISTAN/ JAMRUD: At least five people were killed while 19 people were wounded in various incidents in Kohat, Kohistan, Lakki Marwat and Jamrud on Thursday. In Kohat, three people were killed in separate incidents. In Dasu, Kohistan an oil tanker was en route to Skardu from Sihala when heavy boulder, triggered by a landslide, fell on the vehicle. Subsequently, two people died on the spot while another was injured. In another instance, eight people were injured when a passenger van overturned on its way to Abbakhel area of Lakki Marwat on Thursday. Eyewitnesses told journalists the accident happened near Billokhel. “A underage boy was driving the van,” one of them told The Express Tribune. On the other hand, two students of Government High School Manjiwala in Lakki Marwat were shot and injured during a scuffle at a football match. A police official told The Express Tribune the students injured belonged to classes seven and eight. An FIR has yet to be registered. In a separate incident, eight people were injured when two cars collided on Pak-Afghan Highway in Jamrud.
