Kidnapping Alleged: Girl returned to parents, suspects held

LAHORE: Two men were handed over to Bhati Gate police and a girl, who said they had kidnapped her, returned to her family in Chungi Amar Sidhu on Tuesday. A warden said Lower Mall sector in charge and two other wardens were patrolling the area when they saw the suspects, identified only as Zaheer and Shahid, arguing with the girl near a Metro Bus station. He said they approached the three and inquired about the cause of the argument. He said the girl told the wardens that she had been kidnapped by them. She said they were her neighbours in Chungi Amar Sidhu. She said her parents had gone to a funeral in Kasur and she was alone at home when they kidnapped her, he added. The suspects were taken to the Bhati Gate police station where a kidnapping case was registered against them. The girl was later returned to her family.
