LAHORE:

Aleem Khan, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) candidate for the recent by-polls in NA-122 Lahore, on Monday expressed disappointment over Ayaz Sadiq’s re-election as National Assembly speaker. “We will make efforts to de-seat him again,” Khan said. He said people had been let down with Sadiq assuming the office again. He accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader of using fraudulent means to win the elections. “It is shameful to be re-elected speaker after stealing voters’ mandate. It is unfortunate for Pakistan that the National Assembly would be run by a speaker having a stolen mandate.” “Sadiq will make a world record of being de-seated again,” he said. The PTI leader said he would continue to call for verification of voter lists in NA-122.
