ISLAMABAD: After months of protests and rallies against electoral fraud in the country yielding negligible gains, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday held a protest against recent hike in prices of petroleum products. PTI’s Asad Umer led the demonstration in front of the National Press Club and demanded the government to immediately withdraw the increase. The event meant to mobilise party workers ahead of local government elections saw participation of around 150 die-hard PTI activists in Islamabad. Addressing the demonstration, Umer said the economic policies of the government were killing the common man.
