Untimely Demise: Guard killed in traffic accident

LAHORE: Police said on Saturday that a 32-year-old man had died in a traffic accident in Kahna area. Officials said Bhakkar resident Ghulam Haqqani, a security guard, was crossing the road in front of Khayaban-i-Amin’s main entrance when he was hit by a speeding crane. Police said the deceased was taken to a hospital where doctors had confirmed his demise. Officials said police had informed Haqqani’s family regarding his demise. Police said the body of the deceased had been sent to a mortuary for autopsy. Officials claimed that Imran, the driver of the crane, had been nabbed.
