MARDAN: Fazle Haq College in Mardan held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th Annual Day with chief guest CM Pervez Khattak.

Other dignitaries including DC Mardan Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh and Minister for Education Atif Khan were also present with students and parents at the ceremony. CM Khattak hailed administrator General Fazle Haq and education specialist Abdul Ali Khan, both late, for laying such a strong foundation at the college.

Students performed gymnastics and participated in horse riding for the audience. The CM distributed prizes for position-holding students on the occasion. “The founder General Fazle Haq was my principal when I was studying at Aitchison College,” said Khattak, adding the esteemed principal chose mentoring as a principal in Fazle Haq College as opposed to accepting vice chancellorship of the UoP.

“The college recently lost its superior image. However, with the efforts of the management and faculty the institution will soon regain its past glory,” Khattak assured. He added the provincial government will provide all the necessary resources to ensure that problems presented to the board of directors are met with solutions.
