Blues thrash Faisalabad
Karachi Blues registered their third as they trounced Faisalabad by nine wickets. Ramiz Raja hit a superb unbeaten hundred as Karachi overhauled the 175-run target in the 37th over.
With a 72-run first-innings lead, Karachi bowled out Faisalabad for 246 with Tabish Khan taking four wickets. Raja then hit 18 fours and a six in his whirlwind 79-ball knock while Hafiz Asad played second fiddle with his 51-run innings.
Rawalpindi wait anxiously
Sialkot drew with Rawalpindi with the weather permitting only 22.1 overs on the final day. Rawalpindi resumed on 86 for five and reached 190 for seven after Sialkot were bowled out for 209 in the first-innings. Rawalpindi, who are second in the table, await the result of the match between Karachi and PIA which will determine if they go through to the final.
Multan finish bottom
Multan were satisfied with a draw against Islamabad as bad light disrupted proceedings throughout the game. Multan managed 244 in the first-innings before Islamabad declared with an 18-run lead. Multan then made two for two as they finished bottom with zero points in 11 matches. Islamabad are placed ninth in the 12-team tournament.
PIA in with a chance
The weather spoilt NBP’s plans of reaching the final as their match against PIA was abandoned without a ball being bowled at the LCCA Ground. NBP finished sixth while PIA have a game in hand.
Wapda-ZTBL draw
Wapda are joint-second with Rawaldpindi after their match against ZTBL ended yielding no result as well. ZTBL are placed fourth with 51 points.
