LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Wednesday sought comments from Mustafabad SHO on a petition filed by a woman seeking registration of a case against two people for raping her.

Petitioner Shazia* stated that Zafar* and Iqbal* had promised to send her to the USA. “Zafar had asked me to meet them at a house. When I went there, they raped me on gunpoint. They also filmed the assault. They then threatened to release the footage on the Internet if I told anyone about the incident,” she said.

She said that she had told her parents about the incident. “We went to the Mustafaabad police station, but the SHO did not listen to us,” she said. She requested the court to direct the SHO to register a case.
