PESHAWAR: The board of governors at Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) asked all hospital employees to register with the biometric system (BMS) since salaries will be calculated using electronic attendance.

According to HMC officials, a board meeting was held to decide on attendance-correlated salaries for all staff. They added individuals not fulfilling the requirement will have to face  consequences.

“All staff members, who have not registered, are directed to do so by November 10 since the salaries are being attached to clocked attendance for the month of November,” read a copy of the circular issued on Wednesday. Old and new employees were asked to verify their personal records at the information technology section of HMC to prevent any foreseeable issues with the system.

According to the official circular, all department and section heads were directed to submit their duty roster on a monthly basis to the IT department to avoid confusion in payment. The handout also added leave not sanctioned will be considered as absence.

Meanwhile, an evening out-patient department was inaugurated at HMC on October 26. Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Imran said surgical, medical, gynaecology and paediatric services will be offered at the new OPD. According to Dr Imran, nine medical officers will be on duty at the department from 2am to 8pm.
