KARACHI:

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) issued on Tuesday non-bailable warrants of arrest for an alleged gangster, Shahid Bikak, for the second time in less than a month.

Bikak is an alleged ringleader of a gang involved in contract killings, kidnappings, extortion, drug peddling and illicit weapons business. He was said to be a close ally of the defunct Peoples Amn Committee chief, Uzair Jan Baloch, who himself is a wanted criminal, before the latter's gang was not split into factions.

Warrants for Bikak were issued again after investigators submitted to the court  that they could not find the accused on the addresses given to them. Bikak failed to appear before the court during the past few hearings. The court has asked the investigators to present him on the next hearing on November 21.
