Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan shut down a reporter who attempted to enquire about his recent announcement to divorce TV journalist Reham Khan.

“Those talking about someone’s personal life should be ashamed,” a furious Imran said, while addressing a press conference in Peshawar on Tuesday.

“There are some ethics. No one asks personal questions,” he added. On October 30, Imran and Reham filed for divorce after a 10-month-long marriage.

Imran, Reham announce divorce after 10 months of marriage

“We have decided to part ways and file for divorce,” Reham Khan stated in a brief statement on her Twitter account on Friday. Half an hour later, Imran confirmed the move in a tweet of his own, saying that this was a “painful time for me and Reham and our families.”

Imran had married Reham, 20 years his junior, in a simple ceremony in January this year. However, Imran’s followers and well-wishers celebrated the wedding far and wide.

Imran declares war against K-P’s ‘mafia doctors’

Further, Imran declared a war against ‘mafia doctors’ who, according to him, have been obstructing the implementation of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government’s fresh legislation in the health sector.

“We will fight with you until the end. We will carry out demonstrations outside your houses and will expose you in the public besides fighting cases in courts,” the PTI chief said.

Friendly reminder: Imran Khan urged to transfer powers to LG

While the PTI chief appreciated the fact that his government in K-P had finally managed to get an improved legislation passed by the K-P assembly in January 2015, he lamented that a handful of doctors were resisting its implementation.

The PTI supremo announced to take the hospitals in K-P out of government’s control and put them under board of governors, saying it will not only “autonomise” the health institutions but will also improve facilities.

“The independent board of governors will work and take care of all hospital matters, including the hiring and firing of hospital staff on merit and rewarding them over their performance,” he said. “I will inaugurate Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital in Peshawar on November 29.”

Imran claimed that some doctors and medics had turned into mafias and had taken stay orders from courts to defend themselves against the new legislation.

Further, the PTI chief claimed to have created two man-made forests in Dera Ismail Khan district of K-P, adding both the forests are as big as the Changa Manga.

‘Won’t be spared’: Imran issues strong warning to Punjab police

Earlier, the PTI chief criticised the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) over the delayed conduct of local government (LG) elections in Punjab and Sindh. “Both the parties failed to conduct the LG polls in their six tenures. It is only because of the PTI’s pressure that they have got them conducted now.”

A guy who is trying to be prime minister is held to higher standard whether he wants it or not. This is the way it is all over the world and not just Pakistan. Why does Imran think he is so special?

And although I don’t live in KPK, I’m impressed at the healthcare reforms and attention paid to environmental issues (the two artificial forests in D. I. Khan, KPK is the only assembly to insist that the ban on hunting of houbara bustard by Arab sheikhs be stayed, and releasing smuggled falcons). I’m not a PTI fan, but these are positive changes and deserve to be noticed instead of focusing on Imran Khan’s private life.Recommend

What a shame for all IK haters that they are even defending such a low life behavior by the reporter.Have we ever heard any of these journalists asking personal.questions to the Sharif Family ? have they ever asked Shehbaz Sharif of his 6 marriages? What kind of messed up logic is this that IK’s life is not personal and can b discussed but Sharif family personal lives can’t b discussed…

Buddy boy, I will tell you why Sharif family personal lives cannot be discussed – in a nutshell it has to do with the fact that the Sharif Family is not cheap attention seeker nor the family members are “Chichora” like IK. It was IK himself who chose to make his private life and each and every aspect of it into a media spectacle – from howling on top of his lungs about the desire to get married on a container, deliberately leaking news to media about his marriage, then denying it via social networking websites (Facebook & Twitter), then acknowledging this marriage via Twitter, giving exclusive rights to media for covering wedding ceremony from inside Banigala, granting media access to his bedroom and sharing intimate aspects of his private life on TV screens, Kulfis, Niharis, chappals, urosi joras, NA-246, NA-19 and NA-122 election campaigns, making KPK government appoint Reham as street children ambassador, KPK government putting official cavalcades of his vehicles and helicopters at Reham’s disposal.

Furthermore, where was Niazi’s sermon on “Sharam,” “Tehzeeb,” “Adaab” and “Auqat” when he was tarnishing/mimicking/ridiculing the likes of NS, Zardari, Fazal ur Rehman, Asfand Yar Wali, Mehmodd Achakzai and letting that low life scum Sheeda Tully use PTI’s platform and container to abuse Bilawal Bhutto in public gatherings?

For Sharif Family one more time. Prime Minister’s grand daughter recently got engaged. Did you get to hear even one piece of news or a picture in the media? Heck, the public by and large did not even know that NS has a grand daughter, let alone knowing her name. This is how public figures coming from respectable families shield their “Personal Lives.”Recommend
