Illegal land acquisition: NAB arrests former senator from Quetta

The accused will be produced before the Accountability Court Islamabad for obtaining his physical remand

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi has arrested former senator Ayaz Khan Mandokhel on charges of corruption from Quetta.


The accused, in connivance with co-accused Rana Ghulam Murtaza and Muhammad Akram, the finance secretary of the Senate Secretariat Employees Cooperative Housing Society Islamabad, sold/transferred land at very low price against the purchasing price.

Mandokhel is beneficiary of 40 kanals which was sold out by the management of the housing society situated in Gagri, Islamabad without approval from circle registrar and caused loss of Rs46 million to the society. The accused was produced before duty magistrate, Quetta, who granted a transit remand into NAB Rawalpindi’s custody for transferring him from Quetta to Islamabad.

The accused will be produced before the Accountability Court Islamabad for obtaining his physical remand.
