Illegal cnics: Nadra AD arrested

The case is under investigation.

PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) anti-corruption circle arrested NADRA Assistant Director Arbab Rizwan on Monday on charges of issuing a CNIC to an Afghan refugee. Talking to The Express Tribune, an official of FIA said NADRA issued a CNIC to Afghan refugee Wazir Gul. “Upon investigation, it became crystal clear NADRA officials were involved in the case,” he added. According to the official, NADRA AD Arbab Rizwan was arrested and an FIR was registered against him. “Rizwan has been arrested after FIR 49/2015 was lodged against him,” the official stated. The case is under investigation.
