Battle for master’s: 4,500 candidates sit for UoP entrance test

PESHAWAR:


At least 4,500 candidates sat for the master’s degree programme entrance test held at four centres within the premises of University of Peshawar.


There are 2,200 seats in 42 different disciplines. Four separate categories of tests ranging from pre-medical (UAT-PM),pre-engineering (UAT-PE), computer/commerce/general science (UAT-CCGS) art & humanities (UAT-AH) were designed for the candidates seeking admission to various disciplines.


The vice chancellor of the varsity, Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan monitored the process. In addition, 200 staff members were also deployed to invigilate and ensure the test went smoothly.


The test was held  under the aegis of National Testing Service.


The result would be announced on Tuesday (November 3) and can be seen on the university’s website  www.uop.edu.pk and NTS website www.nts.org.pk.


The provisional merit list of selected students would be displayed in the respective departments on November 11, followed by a final merit list on November 16.
