The state minister along with Jamil and 28 others were booked by the police for firing, terrorising and hatching a conspiracy to kill PTI workers due to defeat of the ruling party’s candidate in the LG elections.

Complainant Zakir Hussain said the PML-N workers opened fire when he stopped them from snatching electoral results.
Mubashir, one of the workers injured from firing later succumbed to his injuries.
Hussain alleged firing was carried out at the behest of PML-N MPA Mian Tahir Jamil, who along with Abid Sher Ali, hatched a conspiracy to kill PTI supporters.
The D-Type Colony police registered a case under Section 302, 324, 148, 149, 109 and 7 ATA against the 30 persons accused; however, no arrest has been made so far.

Meanwhile, a large number of PTI workers also staged protest on Faisalabad-Samundri Road over the killing of their party worker, demanding an immediate arrest of the accused involved in the killing of Mubashir.
