KARACHI: Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Younus Muhammad Bashir has requested the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the last date for filing income tax returns from October 31 to November 30, 2015. In a statement, the KCCI president pointed out that a large number of KCCI members, while seeking assistance, stated that they may not be able to file returns by October 31 due to Muharram holidays in which internet and mobile phone services were suspended while Karachi’s business and commercial activities came to a halt because of security arrangements made by the law enforcement agencies. Therefore, Bashir requested the FBR to extend the last date of filing income tax returns up to November 30 while taking complications in the income tax return form into consideration.
