Nurturing Nature: WSSP asks for help to keep city clean

WSSP CEE Muhammad Naeem said students should initiate and conduct cleanliness drives and campaigns across the city

PESHAWAR: Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) Chief Executive Engineer Muhammad Naeem Khan urged teachers to create awareness among students about cleanliness in the city.

In a press statement issued on Friday, Naeem asked teachers to assist WSSP in creating awareness among students and subsequently, the wider community, regarding the significance of clean and green environment.

While addressing a seminar at Institute of Management Sciences on Friday, Naeem said the future of the nation lies in the hands of students and they should play their role in improving and restructuring their society and country.

“It is the responsibility of these students to understand the need for a clean environment and establish guidelines and implement them in their community,” Naeem said. He added students should initiate and conduct cleanliness drives and campaigns across the city to create awareness among the public.

“WSSP is trying its best to keep the city clean and green. People should cooperate with the department and their staff to ensure its goals are met,” he said.
