Pakistan followed their well-versed winning pattern against England in the second Test in Dubai beating the visitors by 178 runs to go 1-0 up in the three-match series.

After winning the toss, Misbah opted to bat first and courtesy a record-equalling century (seven centuries as Test captain, equalling Inzamaul Haq's record) lead the team to a total of 378 runs in the first innings.

Spinner Moeen Ali and paceman Mark Wood took three wicket each for England.

England captain Alastair Cook and his men tried to show resolute against Pakistan like the first Abu Dhabi Test but leg-spinner Yasir Shah and left-arm paceman Wahab Riaz made sure the visitors were not successful in their endeavours.

Both bagged four wickets apiece for Pakistan. Imran Khan took the remaining two wickets while left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar remained wicket-less in the first innings.

Pakistan came in to bat again after having a solid lead of 136 runs on board. The host lost their first three wickets quickly for 83 runs but Misbah and Veteran Younus Khan yet again took a stand for Pakistan.

Younus scored his 30th ton to enter the top 10 list of century-makers in Tests.

Meanwhile, in the post-match drama British media said that Wahab was reported for using his foot to tamper the ball.

Then, as the match went on, England batting lineup was not able to withstand the turn on the day-five pitch and succumbed to Yasir and Zulfiqar’s spin magic.

Tail-ender Adil Rashid took a long stand for England at the end of the innings, taking the match to the last five overs but Yasir was able to account for him at a crucial moment.
