Motorway, city police reunite children with their families STOCK IMAGE
According to a NHMP spokesperson, Samreen Khan, 23, went missing when kidnappers took her in a car. The girl’s family informed the police that a car bearing the registration number RNE-2274, abducted Samreen.
Police said they alerted all mobiles and arrested three kidnappers.
In a separate incident, the NHMP handed over five children to their parents, who were runaways or were lost. The children, Hasnat Ahmed, Muhammad Umer, Faizan Ali, Muhammad Hamza and Pervez, were handed over to their parents after an initial investigation.
In a third incident, a special investigation unit (SIU) of the police recovered a teenage boy who was kidnapped on October 7 in the jurisdiction of Shehzad Town.
According to a police spokesperson, 16-year-old Saddam Javed Mughal is a ninth grade student. He was kidnapped on October 7, while on his way to his hostel from Sultana Foundation School, Chak Shehzad.
After having been missing for two days, Muhgal’s father received calls from kidnappers demanding a ransom of Rs200 million, with a deadline of October 22.
Police claim to have arrested the kidnapper and recovered the abducted teenager from district Bannu, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The arrested kidnapper was identified as Sher Alam.
A SIU including Inspector Zulfiqar Ahmed, ASI Suleman Shah and others successfully recovered the teenager.
