Environmental Awareness: ‘Karachi’s gift’ to be held in November

KARACHI: A non-profit organisation, Gul Bahao, plans to host an expo, ‘Karachi’s gift to the world’, during November. The event will exhibit Gul Bahao’s innovations regarding the preservation of environment, said the organisation’s CEO Nargis Latif. A good deal of interest in the mega event has been seen among the management and engineering students, NGOs, environmentalists and businessmen, she claimed. The objective of the expo is to introduce Chandi technology (a waste management system) and warn the citizens of the dangers of tsunami, heat wave and flowing gutters, she added. Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui was presented with a written proposal to approve the event on Saturday. He approved it and directed his staff to support the upcoming event.
