Heinous crime: Girl raped in Faisalabad

Anwar Rafiq told police his niece was going to the market when she was offered a ride by a youth of the neighbourhood

FAISALABAD: A girl was allegedly raped near Chak Jhumra police station on Saturday. Anwar Rafiq told to police that his niece was going to the market when she was offered a ride by a youth of the neighbourhood. “When she declined the offer, the boy abducted her and took her to a house where he raped her,” Rafiq said. Police said the victim had been asked to submit a medical report. He said a team had been formed to find and arrest the suspect. They said a case had been registered and raids were being conducted to apprehend the suspect.
