
An anti-terrorism court on Saturday awarded jail terms to three men it convicted of murder.
Prosecution said Sarmad, Rehan and Attaur Rehman had killed Omer Farooq in a bid to steal question papers from the Education Department in Bahawalnagar. The court sentenced Sarmad to 14 years imprisonment and ordered him to pay Rs100,000 fine and Rs500,000 compensation to heirs of the deceased. Rehan was sentenced to 14 years in prison and fined Rs200,000. Attaur Rehman sentenced to two years and fined Rs100,000.
