Can you believe it's been 20 years since Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was released?

To mark the occasion, makers are planning a special treat for fans: a video featuring informal chat sessions with the cast and crew of the iconic film along with never seen before behind the scenes footage. Here's a sneak peek:

Director Aditya Chopra takes a look at the field picturing the iconic scene in which Kajol is running towards SRK, while he stands with his arms wide open to embrace her.

"From his signature wide open arms, to him mouthing a romantic dialogue, and singing a song the way he does, no one loves on-screen like Shah Rukh Khan," KJo is seen saying in the trailer of the special video.

And SRK agrees.

"Ninety per cent of the character of Raj is like me, and girls think they can't find Raj," says SRK.

"Wow, it's like a tradition going down the years," adds Kajol.

But what made it so popular was the fact that they connected with it. "It's gotten to the psyche of the youth," said late filmmaker Yash Chopra's wife Pamela Chopra.

"He [Adi] told my father [Yash],'This is my Deewar [Yash Chopra's blockbuster hit starring Amitabh Bachchan and Sashi Kapoor], this is what will make me'," says Uday Chopra.

And it did.

No wonder he was strict on the sets. "Adi is a dictator, he's not a director. It's his way or it's definitely the highway," says KJo .

Shah Rukh Khan speaks up about gender pay gap in Bollywood

Did you know?

-- Anupam Kher's character was based on Yash Chopra.

-- The piano played by SRK in the hit song, Ruk Ja O Dil Deewane, was actually played by Aditya Chopra.

After all these years, fans remain as excited about the film as they were the first time they watched it. One question that remains unanswered is that will it be remade?

"If you're trying to make a Dilwale, you've got to wait at least 20 years, after making one film... eh, which is a long shot. But you can't make a Dilwale again," says SRK.

Here's a sneak peak into the video:
