Shameful: Five cases of sexual assault reported

FAISALABAD: Five cases of sexual assault were reported in Faisalabad district police stations on Saturday-Sunday. Mujawir Ali, an uncle of a victim, told The Express Tribune that that his teenage nephew from Chak 208-RB was walking in a park when three men accosted him and took him to a deserted area where they assaulted him and threatened to kill him if he told anyone. “When he arrived home, he was covered in blood and was about to faint. We took him to a doctor who told us that he had been brutally raped and beaten up.”Ali said that they filed a case with the Madina Town police. The SHO said they were looking for the suspects. He said they would take further action after receiving the medical examination report. Separately, two men broke into a house in Chak 225-RB and sexually assaulted a girl there. Police said she was alone at home at that time. A boy from Mohallah Islamabad, a woman from Mohallah Iqbal Nagar and a girl from Mohallah Rasool Pura were raped in separate incidents. Police said they had registered cases.
