Anti-narcotics action: Over 8kg of drugs seized

RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Rawalpindi on Friday stopped a car near Faizabad on Murree Road and recovered 2.62 kilograms of heroin from Rawalpindi-resident Abdul Aziz. A preliminary report found that Aziz was a drug supplier in the city. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested a female drug peddler identified as Benazir Bibi at Main Bus Stop, Rawat. Officials recovered 400 grams of heroin from her possession. In a third operation, a of the force detained two passengers, Muhammad Bilal from Mardan and Asad Ali from Swabi, from a van near Tarakai Toll Plaza, Jhelum, with 5kg hashish concealed in their luggage. In a fourth operation on Friday, the ANF arrested a drug-peddler named Taufeeq at a petrol pump near Benazir Bhutto International Airport with 500 grams of heroin.
