KARACHI: Amna Baber is among the bevvy of beauties in the local fashion industry who have quickly shot to fame. With her quintessential desi looks and robust facial features, she has gained ground in just a few years. It seems that she also has the right attitude to go far in the field that’s rife with competition. Having bagged a nod at this year’s Lux Style Awards in the ‘Best Model Female’ category but losing the prize to Amna Ilyas, Baber takes defeat in her stride. In fact, she feels her fellow model’s win was well-deserved.
“I didn’t win it (the award). I barely have five years of experience in the field,” she said. “In my opinion, Amna Ilyas deserved to win [and if not her, then] Nooray Bhatti. Not only were they the right contenders, but they’ve also been in the industry for eight years. So, better luck next time to me,” added the 25-year-old.

On whether she’s contemplating foraying into television or film, she said, “I might consider it if it’s a good role. It all depends on the role.” In terms of her personal life, Baber isn’t ready to settle down yet. “If I find the right person, I might just get hitched. But for now, I’m single.”
