Iqra university: Citizen journalism workshop begins

Session focused on citizen journalism through mobile phones can easily be used for making short video stories

A five-day film and citizen journalism workshop started on Wednesday at Iqra University Islamabad Campus in collaboration with Interactive Resource Centre. It is aimed at training media sciences students in idea pitching and making short audio and video stories and longer documentaries. Participants received orientation on human rights and basic knowledge of filmmaking on first day. The session focused on citizen journalism through mobile phones as the gadget can easily be used for making short video stories. On the second day, basic grammar of film and script will be discussed. The discussion of ideas, production plan, production, editing and screening of projects will be done in last three days of the training.
