
Despite conceding the first frame, Asjad managed to win by a scoreline of 13-88, 104-0(104), 70-22, 69-30, 42-66 and 60-52.
Meanwhile, former IBSF World Champion Mohammad Asif had little trouble seeing off youngster Mohammad Faheem
4-0, while Mohammad Ishtiaq beat Mohammad Faizan 4-2.
In another match, Mohammad Sajjad had to toil hard for his first win in the competition as he battled a seven-frame game against Shah Khan but eventually won 4-3.
There were a couple of upsets on the opening day as Ian Mark John stunned Mohammad 4-2 while Muhammad Toufiq Jhori beat Aakash Rafique 4-3 and Mohammad Ahsan Javaid shocked Khurram Agha 4-2.
